Allen Weller and Susan Catrow grew up on farms in Gerrardstown district
George "Allen" Weller and Susan Catherine Catrow, both born in Berkeley County in the 1880s, married shortly after Valentine’s Day 1907 when she was 20 and he was 23.
They had both grown up on farms in the Gerrardstown district. Most of Allen’s ancestors had been in Berkeley County since the 1700s and 1800s. He was descended from the Pitzer, Ramsburg, Hensell, Miller and Kerney families.
Susan was a McGrath/McGraw, Stuckey, Browman and Grantham in addition to Catrow. Many of her ancestors had been in the county since at least the early 1800s.
