David "Wesley" Slonaker and his three wives
David "Wesley" Slonaker was born in 1867 in the Gerrardstown region, where his father Jeremiah "Jerry" Sloanaker was a farmer.
Wesley's great-grandfather, Christopher Slonaker of Holland, had come to America before the Revolution, settling in Timber Ridge. The family name was originally spelled Schlonecker, according to the book "Capon Valey: Its Pioneers and Their Descendants."
Wesley's paternal grandmother was a Barrett.
His maternal grandparents, Richard and Millie Collage Dick, lived in Shanghai.
